Running Ninja's Week 01 Training – Reloaded

Yep! I did Running Ninja’s Week 01 Training all over again. I thought that it was just fitting since I took a week off from running and just got a proper running shoe. As a refresher, here is the Week 01 program once again:

Wk# Day 01 Day 02 Day 03
Wk01 Walk for 6 minutes, then jog at an easy pace for 1 minute. Repeat 3 times. Walk for 6 minutes, then jog at an easy pace for 1 minute. Repeat 3 times. Walk for 6 minutes, then jog at an easy pace for 1 minute. Repeat 3 times.

The Tubes is a good change. I am not totally solved how a shoe could be such a big factor in running until I experienced suffering in a wrong pair then purchasing a right one. I am more optimistic this time that I can meet my running goal for this year.

Day 01 – 2.5km in 27mins
I decided to start back to Wk01 of the training after a week off from running. First time I used the Tubes and it’s perfect! :D Right foot didn’t hurt anymore. Probably the shortened distance helped as well.

Day 02 – 2.5km in 27mins
Right foot is loving the Tubes very much! Leftie however is experiencing minimum discomfort after a while. Though, it is expected since It has became slightly bulgy after an accident from way way back. Decided to cut my kilometers by half than usual as recommended by a fellow Daily Miler.

Day 03 – 2.5km in 27mins
So far, so good. Wore my Earth Run singlet today.

It’s down to 14 days ’til Earth Run. This will be my third racing event and my first 5km. I am really looking forward to this event because I have a number of friends who will also be joining. I am hoping to finish the course at sub-45. Wish me luck!
