“I like to chase after that elusive lotto luck,
because I want to give all my friends a f…
feast that rocks!”
That entry won me two (2) race packets on the category of my choice at the Neutrogena 2010: Chase The Sun held last Sunday, May 16 at The Fort, Taguig City.

Thanks to The Bull Runner!

I made it a point to arrive early this time so that I can do my warm-up and stretching. The event noticeably had fewer participants compared with Earth Run. In my opinion, that could be the reason why this run is more organized than the latter. I liked it that way.
Here are my thoughts on my Chase The Sun experience:
GOOD POINTS
- Dressing rooms will be beneficial for runners who just came out from work.
- Enough portalets.
- The event only has a 4000 target participant. A number that is well managed.
- Ample directional signs, kilometer markers, and road advisories.
- A good number of hydration booths which served water and two flavors of energy drink.
- Installation of route marshals.
- Well managed traffic on major streets.
- New race route at The Fort.
- Use of Champion Chips which I think was pretty accurate.
- I like that this event has Photovendo. I can’t wait to see my photos.
- Lines at the giveaway area was long but moving.
- Good value loot packs prepared in two sets; one for the ladies and one for the gents.
- Excellent finishers’ shirt by Team Manila.
- Spacious after race activity area which had facilities like cool down area, trampoline, and food stalls.
POINTS FOR IMPROVEMENT
- Better traffic management on minor roads. I saw a lady who got hit by a vehicle at the turn-around area. Though I am still puzzled how it happened. She managed to get back on her feet. I just don’t know if she decided to continue the run. I think it’s best if they took her to the hospital just to be sure.
- I really do hope race events start using paper cups instead. Poor disposal by runners are inevitable as trash cans will only cause a bottleneck. What is important is that they clean it up after the event.
- I had trouble looking for the end of the line of the giveaway area.
- Singlets are a size bigger than the usual.
Overall, it was a good event. I enjoyed it even though I’m alone. My best bud who was supposed to run with me begged off at the last minute. He said he needed more sleep. I can’t blame him since they were required to report for work the previous day. But I claimed his race loots! Wohoo!

Goodies includes a shirt designed by Team Manila, a singlet, 1 bottled water, 1 sports drink, Johnson’s baby wash, baby powder, pure essentials soap, Bengay, Modess napkins and Carefree panty liner hahaha

I can’t wait for my PhotoVendo pix either!
Really? The pack is prepared in two sets? I guess we girls were more lucky, for instead of the pantyliner, we got lotion and Neutrogena facial wash :D
Hi Minnie! The Photovendo pics are out! hehe. I think men can find the facial wash more beneficial than the panty liner. Come on! hahaha
